The Lady Nita Gaylene, Countess of Louisiana The Lady Nita Gaylene M. Register is Head and Governor of the Earldom of Louisiana. This area was one of the most heavily damaged by the recent Hurricanes. Even with the international support the City of New Orleans and surrounding areas have received, it will be years before the area is able to return to 'business as normal'.

The Countess' baronies are two of the most urbanized in the Dominion. Nearly half of the entire national population lives on the 'Isle of New Orleans' and the greater New Orleans area. The 'Big Easy' presents special challenges - a population constanly in flux, and economy depending on foreign trade and investments, and the constant dangers of life in a city slowly recovering from devestation.

The Lady Nita, Countess of Louisiana, faces these challenges on a daily basis, and brings a sense of determination and a willingness to work. Oversize problems are 'no big deal' to her - she is from Texas after all...

The Countess Nita of the Earldom of Louisiana originally sat in the House of Lords as Viscountess Nita, of the Viscountcy of Louisiana, but the Viscountcy was elevated to an Earldom during the 'realignment program' of Robert VII in 2006.

The Arms of the Countess of Louisiana being blazoned thusly:
Per Pale enhanced azure, per Fess argent and gules in upper chief point the number 1836 gules, in middle base point a mullet argent. Supporters horses forcene azure, a riband bearing "Come and Take It" pendent. the whole of the arms being surmounted by three mullets azure, and undergirded likewise.

In addition to the Baronies of East Baton Rouge and Orleans, the Earldom of Louisiana is charged with the protection of the "Isle of New Orleans".
